Our recommendation is our Guest but we are also recommended by a few travel survival kits.
Lonely Planet for their 12th edition 2007 says for us:
Durag Niwas Guest House (Map p235;Ph2512385; www.durag-niwas.com; 1 Old Public Park; r Rs 150-650; a) This is a friendly, family-run place, away from the hustle of the old city. Good home-cooked veg dishes are available, and there’s a cushion-floored, sari-curtained area on the roof for hanging out. There’s also a fabulous deal for long-termers: a spacious double room for Rs 4500 per month, including full board. The Maharaja Room (Rs 650) is not for the prudish – it sleeps eight people.
Important for our guests:
Our house DURAG NIWAS is N O T in business with the next door guesthouse Durag Villas. Unfortunately it happened that some guide books wrote their phone number for our house and comments that made their house look affiliated with ours.
